Welcome to the Sands Point Preserve!
The Sands Point Preserve is temporarily closed, starting Saturday, March 28, for the safety and health of all visitors. We plan to reopen when the New York State restriction on gathering is lifted. We sincerely apologize to all members and visitors for this inconvenience, and thank you all for your support of this historic estate. We look forward to welcoming everyone back, after the COVID-19 crisis is past.
Admission to the Preserve is $15 per car or free for members of the Sands Point Preserve Conservancy. Walk-in admission is $4 per person. Additional fees apply for mansion tours, programs, and events.
Dog walking is permitted on the grounds, but dogs must be kept on leashes at all times – visitors are subject to the Village of Sands Point’s strict leash laws for everyone’s safety. A dog run is also available, with a separate space for small dogs (under 25 pounds), as well as a large area for all dogs. Owners must remain inside the dog run with their pets at all times.

The Preserve is open to the public year-round, 8 am – 5 pm seven days a week, closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
