One hundred years ago, the Hempstead House Garden served as the backdrop for grand parties and intimate discussions among socialites, philanthropists, and pioneers in economics, politics, the arts, and scientific discovery. Today, the Garden remains a hallmark of the Sands Point Preserve, encapsulating the Preserve’s natural beauty and historic significance.
For the last year, the Preserve has been reimagining, redesigning and replanting this remarkable space. Using modern environmental concepts to elevate its grandeur and sophistication, the new Hempstead House Garden is a sensory masterpiece – bursting with vibrant colors, diverse textures, and aromatic delights. Please join us for the historic unveiling of the new Hempstead House Garden and help us usher it into its second century.
As we toast to the new Hempstead House Garden, we will dazzle all your senses! Come take in the gorgeous views as you:
- enjoy a delicious dinner and cocktails
- taste organic biodynamic wine from four local vineyards
- listen to live jazz and classical music
- be a part of history by making an exclusive contribution to our time capsule
- watch artists as they capture the garden’s beauty through their own creative processes
- chat with sustainable gardening experts
With great food and fantastic entertainment in an unbeatable setting, it promises to be an evening you won’t want to miss!
