Hempstead House Tours

Interior access to Hempstead House is available by scheduled guided tours only. Tours are limited in group size and tend to sell out. Tickets are only available to purchase day-of in Castle Gould’s Welcome Center, open Wednesday – Sunday at 11am. Please arrive early to purchase tickets.

PLEASE NOTE: Hempstead House tours are designed for adults, but children 5+ are allowed. Children under 5 will not be permitted.

See the grand rooms inside the massive 50,000-square-foot Tudor-style mansion, the former summer residence of Howard Gould (1912-1917) and later Daniel and Florence Guggenheim (1917-1930).

PLEASE NOTE:

• Hempstead House tours are designed for adults, but children 5+ are allowed. Children under 5 will not be permitted.
• Tours are $10 per person, payable at the Welcome Center. Tickets are available for purchase day-of only – advance ticket sales are not available.
  
• Tours run approximately 45 minutes.
• Pets are not allowed inside the mansion; service dogs are permitted
• Entrance to the Preserve is free for Conservancy members; $15 per car for non-members.
• Photography is allowed.
