The Sands Point Preserve offers educational programs for every age and interest.
After school programs are expanding to accommodate the growing number of children age 2 – 10 who enjoy learning in a creative environment. Art and Science sessions are held in the renovated Phil Dejana Learning Center and Outdoor Classroom, and Yoga sessions are held in Castle Gould’s Great Hall.
A interdisciplinary after school program for middle school children, this unique program introduces enrichment in science, conservation, the arts, and wellness.
A beloved preschool based in Port Washington offers one-week summer programs in Castle Gould, Phil Dejana Learning Center and Outdoor Classroom and on the Preserve’s beautiful grounds.
Family Nature Programs
Families can discover the wildlife and natural habitats on the Preserve and well beyond as nature experts work closely with children to connect them with this beautiful environment.
