The magnificent mansions and grounds on the Sands Point Preserve offer majestic settings for professional photographers.
A permit is required for all professional photography.
Portrait Photography
Includes wedding photos, family photos, engagement photos, quinceanera photos, bar/bat mitzvahs photos, and sweet 16 photos.
Permit Fees:
Outdoor photography: $350 for a two-hour period, limited parking included.
Outdoor locations on the Preserve’s grounds approved in advance
Indoor photography inside historic Hempstead House: $450 for a two-hour period, limited parking included. The interior permit includes a third hour for outdoor photography on the grounds.

Commercial product shoots and personal branding
The former Guggenheim Estate offers a stately backdrop for commercial photography for fashion, home furnishings, publishing, and entertainment, among other industries.
