De Giorgio Councilwoman, Sixth District October 28, 2017 Dear Friends, I am pleased to support the Sands Point Preserve Conservancy’s second annual Halloween Ball. The Conservancy is a vital link between Port Washington’s past and present; and an important part of the future of Port Washington. The Conservancy impeccably maintains over 200 acres of beautiful forest, beaches, and magnificent mansions, which are all open to the public for their use and enjoyment. In addition to maintaining the Sands Point Preserve, the Conservancy supports many youth programs. It is also host to Schreiber High School’s annual Gambol, making it a personally significant place for Port Washington residents. This year’s honoree, Jack Mandel, is a true philanthropic leader in Port Washington and Sands Point. In addition to serving as a board member for the Conservancy, he is active in leadership roles with the Community Synagogue, the Sands Point Civic Association, and the Parkinson’s Foundation of New York Institute of Technology. I congratulate Jack for receiving this wonderful recognition. Best wishes for much continued success, Dina De Giorgio
