Join Artist Lori Lee as she leads a Plein Air Painting workshop at the preserve this fall. Connect to the natural beauty and grandeur of the grounds, painting on site in the open air. This program is open to all levels, from beginners to advanced painters. We will focus on executing dynamic compositions that capture a moment in time while experiencing immersion in nature. In the case of inclement weather, class will take place in our learning studio using indirect techniques from previously procured reference materials.
Plein Air Painting Classes are open to adult students aged 18 and up. Supplies are not included. A suggested supply list will be forwarded upon class registration. Students may choose their own medium (oils, acrylics, watercolor, gouache, pastel, charcoal, pen/ink or digital) but lectures will focus on traditional oil painting techniques, many of which can be adapted for acrylics.
