Water sustains life and has many fascinating properties, so young investigators will begin by exploring our beach’s salt water environment on the Long Island Sound. Next, we’ll gather at our fresh water pond and the Phil Dejana Learning Center Outdoor Classroom for a range of fun, age-appropriate experiments and projects for children age 4 – 10. While playing, participants can explore the states of water – liquid, gas, and ice; experiment with buoyancy with their own boat creations; and create works of water art.
