Watch the Sands Point Preserve’s pond environment come to life this Spring in real time with our new live camera overlooking this beautiful, pastoral site. If you can’t visit the Preserve in person, enjoy this peaceful virtual vista.
During the day, you may find Red-Eared Slider Turtles sunning themselves on rafts in the middle of the pond; bullfrogs and tadpoles along the rocky shallow water’s edge; and a range of birds, including herons and warblers.
In the dark of night, you’ll see flashes of light across the picture – these are likely to be bats flying about, catching insects for dinner.
Special thanks to Joseph Cesarelli for his very generous sponsorship of this exciting project.
