A Tribute to the Father of Modern Rocketry.  On the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing, the Conservancy celebrates Dr. Robert Goddard, whose invention of the liquid-fuel rocket in 1926, underwritten by the Daniel Guggenheim Fund for the Promotion of Aeronautics, propelled the United States space program for decades to follow.  (Event Information)

Take a meditative Forest Therapy Walk, led by certified guide Linda Lombardo. Based on the Japanese tradition of Shinrin-Yoku, a wellness practice developed in the 1980s, each unique walk inspires mindful connections with the natural elements of the woods for a range of healthful benefits. Bugs as Pets!

Biologist Eric Powers leads us through the realm of bugs, including insects, arachnids, and myriapods. We’ll find out which ones make great pets and which ones don’t. Participants will get an up-close look at Eric’s fantastic bug collection during this interactive session – some may even get to hold several of these amazing creatures. This innovative series of six concerts will follow the course of Jazz history, from its roots in Ragtime and Dixieland, to the Swing / Big Band era, through Cool Jazz of the 1950s, and beyond.
