Orienteering is an international sport of navigating diverse, and often unfamiliar, terrain by map and compass. Two levels of instruction are offered. If you have never used a compass or need basic refresher instruction, attend our introductory program and practice your skills on a simple orienteering field course on the Preserve’s open lawn. Or try our more challenging course set up as a scavenger hunt, where you’ll gather facts to solve a puzzle. Bring your own compass, though we do have a limited quantity to lend. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

Start anytime between 10AM and 2PM.
