Biologist and ranger Eric Powers knows the Preserve’s wildlife and landscape like the back of his hand after years of leading marvelous nature programs, including the popular Owl Prowl, Pond Exploration, and the fantastic Overnight Wilderness Survival courses. He was named the 2020 Long Island Sierra Club Environmentalist of the Year and is the Program Director for Center for Environmental Education & Discovery.
In 2023, Ranger Eric will lead visitors of all ages on exploratory adventures across the Preserve’s grounds. Your expert guide will share a wealth of information about nature’s wonders: Pond Exploration, Evening Bat Walk, Survival Bowl Building and Owl Prowl
