Beekeeping Program for Families

On this patriotic day of remembrance, visit the Preserve at 11 am to 1 pm for a Family Nature Program about the honeybee – a loyal subject of its queen bee and hive. Suzanne Vega & Duncan Sheik – Sunset Concert on the Great Lawn

The Sands Point Preserve Conservancy welcomes Suzanne Vega and Duncan Sheik, in concert together, on the Great Lawn overlooking the Long Island Sound. Outdoor Fun, It’s a Science!

A lot of science goes into outdoor fun. Learn by doing during this workshop where families will: make a magnetic compass; learn the aerodynamics of flying a Frisbee; formulate the correct surface tension for blowing the best bubbles; and investigate the features needed for the kite you create.
